My story
I never considered myself a gardener and I never had any interest in flowers. In fact, when I was dating my husband, I specifically told him not to buy me flowers. It's amazing how things can change. Now, I am a flower farmer who grows thousaneds of flowers each season.
My journey as a flower farmer began after we finished building our house and moved in. When we first arrived, the landscape was dull and uninviting. All we had was a patch of grass. I decided to buy some Hibiscus trees and planted them by the front door. They did great that first summer, but I had no idea that Hibiscus trees didn't like frost. When winter came, my beloved trees did not survive.
The following spring in 2021, I replaced the Hibiscus with two rose bushes. To my surprise, there were roses blooming a couple months later. I picked those first flowers and placed them in a vase in the middle of the house. Every day, I was mesmerized by their beauty and the joy they brought me. From that moment, I was hooked on flowers. On June 22, 2022 I planted my very first Zinnia’s and Dahlia’s.
In 2023 I grew my first spring flowers that included Anemone’s, Ranunculus, Snapdragons and so much more. Growing flowers is not always easy, but it has become my passion. Our flowers thrive without the use of chemicals and pesticides. They grow in the warmth of the sun, rain, and the fresh Tennessee air. Go ahead—and smell the roses.
On most warm days, you will find my daughter, our two dogs, and me outside harvesting flowers and digging in the dirt.
